What is psoriatic arthritis?
Psoriatic arthritis (PsA) is an autoimmune disorder seen in individuals with a history of psoriasis. Psoriasis occurs in approximately 2% of the population and of those individuals with psoriasis, around 30% will develop psoriatic arthritis. PsA can involves the hands, wrists, elbows, shoulders, knees, ankles, feet, neck and back.
Fortunately, there are many treatments available for PsA through a rheumatologist.
